Now USA is learning from Nepal

Recently there was a big strike by Chrysler auto company staff and more are coming. Nepal is one country where strike is so common that people don't even care, there are 5-10 strikes almost everyday. With the dwinding dollar, is USA also becoming a copy cat of Nepal. Here is another story.

Northern California nurses begin two-day walkout.

"Nearly 5,000 registered nurses at 15 hospitals in Northern California went on a two-day strike to protest what union officials said were inadequate contract offerings and concerns over staffing deficiencies at sites in the Sutter Health chain."

"The nurses have been in negotiations since the spring with many of the not-for-profit hospitals in the San Francisco Bay area and the Sacramento area. The California Nurses Association union is protesting what it says are unacceptable proposals on healthcare and retirement benefits and staffing levels."

However, "spokeswomen for four hospitals in the chain said [that] their contract offerings would not scale back health or retirement benefits." Meanwhile, Sutter Health hospital chain officials said that "replacement workers are in place and that no disruptions in service were expected." According to Sutter officials, "Aside from the dozens of people picketing outside several hospitals,...the strike will not be felt by patients."
